Drug Court

I have been a volunteer at our local Drug Court program for over one year. I have had the pleasure of having 3 different groups during this time. I asked each group 4 questions concerning our ministry. These are their actual testimonies.

1. What was your first thought when you were told that I was going to be reading stories to you about the journey of addiction?

*I thought it was a great idea, especially involving addiction.

  *Very interesting.

*I first thought, no big deal. It sounds corny.

*I thought it was going to be a piece of crap.

*I thought it was going to be a joke. Couldn't help but laugh.

*Another waste of time.

*I was a little unsure, but after you had our class I REALLY enjoyed it.

*I thought we were going back to kindergarden.

*I thought it was going to be different.

*I really didn't think the journey of addiction was going to be anything,

         but it  turned out good.

*It was cool. It's always interesting to hear about someone else's addiction.

*Thank God for a CHANGE.I learn more in these groups.

*My thoughts were that I will be able to hear the life of addiction from another

*I think it's the journey of addiction.

*I love them. Very inspiring.

*I've only heard one, but I really enjoyed it.

*They are very interesting and almost everything hits home. I like the way

         Charles teaches them very much.

*I think Brother Charles is doing a great job and I get a lot out of his stories.

*I can tell that you've been down the road and I could relate to your stories.

*I appreciate the time and effort that goes into it.

*I really get alot out of them. I love them.

*I think it's interesting and we can learn from it.

*I like them. I see myself in them.

*I like them. The stories are real good to listen to.
